1.What do you like best about this virtual experience which you cannot get in real-life?
Personaly, I dont like virtual-life , however, I gain experience in this activity. We can meet someone in thousands of miles away online, it is amazing.
2.Do you have to observe special mannerisms/behaviours/ethics when meeting your new friend
on Second Life?
Of course we have to observe ethics . Eventhough it is a virtual world , we are talking to a real person . If we dont care about our words, we will make trouble .
3. Describe the experience you had virtually meeting and sharing about cyourself and your
research experiences with your new friend from Hong Kong.
I hadn't used Second Life before this activity , I was lost in the first few minutes. I walked to people and dont know what to do. Finally , a guy talked to me and I answered ,then we start our conversation. Luckily , he is from China mainland . So we decide to talk by using QQ which is more farmiliar .
He gave me these answers:
a) I usually buy the air tickets online. Because the the air tickets have the great price fluctuation. In addition, the agency get a large number of commision from the customers. So I profer the online booking tickets which can save lot of money.
b)The most popluar shopping website in HongKong is eBay which is always using the auction selling methoed. But i never buy any item from that site. I buy the product from taobao website.
In my opinion, many HongKong people joined the auction. This is an exiting progress.
